What's the role?

This position is responsible for leading 'Data Operations' activities for a workgroup at a large-scale data operations center for executing geo-coding related activities that address both regional and global data operations requirements. Each workgroup will consist of 80-150 people. This role is under the general direction of the Sr. Data Ops Program Manager and LDO Site Leader and is responsible for leading the workgroups (projects/programs/regions) for effective project management (including planning and execution) to achieve delivery, quality, cost, speed and efficiency targets.

Main Responsibilites

• Provide leadership to Data Operations Managers and data operations teams to improve project planning, execution, monitoring and control; and drive early identification and mitigation of risks.
• Collaborate with various business verticals in HERE and functional groups to ensure that the Data Operations delivers effectively through the project and product lifecycles
• Ensure each work group develops appropriate detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and project tracking/reporting to effectively manage each project
• Lead the interface with PMO and other functional group to prioritize project execution and project delivery planning
• Design and develop framework for new project / program to be launched in operations
• Drive Innovation culture within workgroup
• Ensure adherence to management processes, quality standards and project specifications; and foster a culture of quality and performance
• Ensure employee performance management is timely and appropriate across teams / groups
• Identifies and develops processes and programs for continual improvements; and drives positive change management
• Be an advocate of HERE values for culture assimilation within teams
• Identify and drive workgroup initiatives and drive positive change across workgroup
• Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize portfolio performance
• Solves complex operational problems with impact to multiple areas (within and outside GCO); leverages the appropriate resources within or outside the area.
• Persuades managers and leaders to act and/or influence wider stakeholders outside LDO for overall portfolio success.

Who are you?

• Bachelors in engineering or technical related discipline required
• MBA or equivalent desirable
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience with 6+ years experience in project / program management and sound understanding of operations & operations strategy development/execution.
• A combination of educational qualifications and work experience can be considered for equivalence.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Demonstrated leadership and talent management skills
• Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, including presentation, written and verbal.
• Good leadership, people management and coaching skills
• Proven understanding of technology and work process flows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced computer skills and excellent knowledge of business software applications such as MS Project/Open Workbench and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to collaborate with internal/external groups for effective problem resolution and change management
• Strong Process oriented skills with self-initiative to drive continual improvements.
