The Opportunity

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for transforming design and vision into working product and you will develop, customize, and enhance functionalities of diverse set of digital products. You will contribute to development of a cutting-edge platform that empowers our organization's digital capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality modern user experiences built in modern Front-End and Back-End (React, TypeScript, Nodejs, Python) frameworks and libraries .
• Leverage best practices, Object Oriented JavaScript programming, Python and TypeScript frameworks.
• Develop and maintain scalable integrations using native AWS technologies to support continuing increases in data source, volume, and complexity.
• Builds systems of medium-to-high complexity with minimal guidance and supervision.
• Build interfaces for modern internet applications using the latest front-end technologies.
• Implement reusable libraries across applications.
• Ensure responsive design works across computing platforms.
• Develop application code and automated tests (unit and integration) in selected framework and/or library.
• Ensure high performance for global users through performance tests and tuning.
• Partner with the design team around usability and UI/UX concerns.
• Works closely with enterprise teams including Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Enterprise Data Backbone Engineering to design and develop data integration patterns/solutions along with proper data models supporting different data and analytics use cases.
• Collaborate with more senior team members to implement feedback on pull request reviews.
• Collaborate with agile team members to craft clear user stories and continuously deliver product increments.
• Continuously collaborate with Product Owner to demo developed functionality and validate against specified requirements.
• Estimate work based on user stories and functional requirements or wireframes.
• Contribute to Takeda's mission by leading the development and adoption of solutions that deliver business outcomes and drive innovation.
• Leverage GitHub for CI/CD for all application development.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems analysis or a related study.
• 4+ years relevant software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience as a front-end and back-end engineer with following tech stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Nodejs, Python and HTML/CSS.
• Solid hands-on experience with SASS, CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code.
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Hands-on experience or aptitude to learn workflow automation frameworks such as Power Automate.
• Experience with building and using APIs in codebase for data exchange, enabling custom workflows, and for event triggering between applications.
• Hands-on experience developing cloud native solutions on AWS (fundamentals such as Lambda, storage buckets, access management, and compute resources).
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Self-starter with a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes.
• Solid communication skills, a team player with a 'winning as a team' attitude.
• Ability to continuously enhances own skills.
• Ability to write and speak in the English language.
• Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment.
