What will you do?

The Full Stack Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support of solutions for ThermoFisher Scientific's Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gene AI) initiatives. You will work with the latest cloud and frontend technology to create cutting-edge solutions and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of over two hundred Software Engineers. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to share your knowledge to help drive innovation and progress forward.

How will you get here?

Education

BS/MS in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalently technical disciplines preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of solid experience on full stack development preferred
• 5+ years with AWS Cloud Services such as S3, CloudFront, EKS, RDS, CloudWatch preferred
• Experience using other cloud platforms with similar services will be considered (e.g., Azure, GCP)
• 5+ years of solid hands with Python, and Java preferred
• 1+ year of exposure with Angular, React, or similar technologies is desirable.
• Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation is necessary.
• Exposure to deep learning architectures and techniques is highly desirable
• Database design and implementation with SQL and NOSQL preferred
• Experience with defining and implementing Non-Functional Requirements (NFR - Security, Performance, Cost, etc.)
• Experience with Git and Git Flow branching methodology
• Unit and Integration Testing experience is a must. Karma/Jasmin toolkit exposure is desirable
• Microservices architectures and RESTful APIs
• Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery
• GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tool experience is a must
• Agile/Scrum software development preferred
• AI/ML Exposure: experience working with AI/ML technologies and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn a plus.
• AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate and Professional
• Oracle Certified Associate / Professional Java Programmer - Java 8+
