What will you do?

The Full Stack Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support of solutions for ThermoFisher Scientific's Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gene AI) initiatives. You will work with the latest cloud and frontend technology to create cutting-edge solutions and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of over 200 Software Engineers. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to share your knowledge to help drive innovation and progress forward.

How will you get here?

Education

BS/MS in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalently technical disciplines preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of solid experience on full stack development preferred
• 1+ years of solid hands with Angular, React, or similar technologies preferred
• 1+ years with AWS Cloud Services such as S3, CloudFront, EKS, RDS, CloudWatch
• Experience using other cloud platforms with similar services will be considered (e.g., Azure, GCP) preferred
• Database design and implementation with SQL preferred
• Experience with defining and implementing Non-Functional Requirements (NFR - Security, Performance, Cost, etc.)
• Experience with Git preferred
• Unit and Integration Testing experience a must
• Karma/Jasmine toolkit exposure preferred
• Microservices architectures and RESTful API's preferred
• Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery experience preferred
• GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tool experience required
• Agile/Scrum software development preferred
• AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate a plus
• Oracle Certified Associate / Professional Java Programmer - Java 8 or + a plus
• AI/ML Exposure: experience working with AI/ML technologies and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is a plus
