The MAA Platform Engineering Software team develop tools that support the development operations within the Database engineered systems development org. We are a small team that have a great deal of autonomy to develop imaginative solutions to maximise the productivity of our colleagues and realise the full worth of our large fleet of engineered systems by providing inventory lifecycle management and automation tools. We develop tools that underpin the development of the technologies that contribute to the Oracle Cloud offering.

We are looking to add a Junior Full Stack Developer to our team. In this role you will immerse yourself in a collaborative environment, working closely with a diverse team. Your responsibilities span front-end development with JavaScript and React.js, back-end development utilizing Python/Django, and proficient database management. You'll also engage in RESTful API development, code optimization, and quality assurance through code reviews and testing.

Experience with Oracle Database, Exadata, Python, Django, Shell scripting, Javascript, React.js and DevOps/automation tools is highly desirable but just as important is the drive, energy and motivation to learn and grow within a highly motivated and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
