Job Description
What is Travelport?
Travelport is the brains behind lots of your travel bookings. Plane, car or hotel. You name it, we do it. Our technology is used to book that magical family holiday, infamous bachelorette party or long overdue school reunion. While we can't solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we're looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.
The Software Engineering Internship:
6-months', 40 hours per week, fixed-term contract starting April 2024.
At Travelport, we're passionate about Full Stack Developers. By joining us, you'll dive deep into the world of programming in Java, Javascript, Angular/React, harnessing the power of these languages to create the next generation of game-changing software. You will design, develop, and provide support for our suite of z/TPF development products using current generation technologies as well as DevOps and CI/CD methodologies Your internship experience promises to be a thrilling adventure into the heart of travel tech innovation!

Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, code, and test software applications using Java, JavaScript, Angular and React.
- Identify and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring high-quality, bug-free code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Work on various software development life cycle stages, from conception and design to implementation and maintenance.
- Test applications using Katalon Automation and update the test suites
- Contribute to the documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts within the team
Who we are looking for in this role:
- You are enrolled in the final year of a relevant degree program, such as Computer Science, Electronics, Informatics or Software Engineering.
- You are familiar with Java and/or JavaScript & have a strong desire to expand your skills.
- You have a good understanding of software development concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
- You have strong communication skills, in Spanish and English; you're able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- You are based in Guadalajara and available to come to the office 3 days per week.
