Job Summary:

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for operations. This role ensures timely procurement of high-quality goods at the best possible price while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting inventory control efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
• Request and review quotes, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and update procurement databases.
• Collaborate with internal departments (production, engineering, accounting, etc.) to understand procurement needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Track and resolve issues related to supplier performance, delivery, or quality.
• Stay up to date with market trends, pricing, and new product developments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles (manufacturing industry preferred).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of international purchasing and logistics (for global procurement roles).
• Experience with ISO standards and quality management systems.
