Meztal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with FP&A experience and SaaS industry background, to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico under a hybrid work model. This role requires fluency in both English and Spanish, as you'll collaborate closely with international and local teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Support month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Analyze general ledger balances, investigate variances, and review account reconciliations.
• Lead daily accounting activities to ensure accurate recording of transactions under GAAP.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Respond to and assist with invoice or billing inquiries.
• Manage credit card reconciliations.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support business system implementation projects.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for monthly reporting and annual audits.
• Manage ad hoc financial and accounting projects as needed.

Requirements

NOTE: All candidates who do not reside in Guadalajara or cannot work in a hybrid remote model based in Guadalajara will not be considered.

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; ability to work with large data sets.
• Experience with accounting software (Sage Intacct is a plus).
• Experience in accounting and FP&A processes.
• Interest in aligning data systems and reporting platforms.
• Experience in SaaS or technology industry is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
