Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Validation Technician to join our team, focusing on SSD (Solid State Drive) firmware validation. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of SSD device drivers through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-driven, and adept at problem-solving, with a technical background in hardware and software validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Setup and Execution: Set up, configure and maintain SSD testing environments to execute functional test plans; Manage hardware, firmware, and software components.
Test Documentation and Reporting: Record detailed data on test processes, results, logs and documentation; Report bugs, discrepancies or performance issues identified during testing to the engineering team.
Troubleshooting: Analyze test failures and performance bottlenecks, working with engineers to diagnose issues and determine root causes.
Standards & Procedures: Develop and maintain validation standards and procedures to ensure consistent testing processes.
Continuous Improvement: Assess and employ methods to improve quality and efficiency in product release processes.

Must-Have Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree or certification in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in hardware specification and assembly, with PCs.
Knowledge of Linux and Windows commands.
Excellent MSFT skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Technical Proficiency:
Testing Experience: Hands-on experience with hardware and software testing.
Operative Systems: Understanding and hands-on experience with Windows and Linux based systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Customer Support Experience: Familiarity with supporting customers in a technical capacity, particularly in hardware or software troubleshooting.
Python Skills: Ability to write and debug scripts for automation and testing purposes.
Agile Methods: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
