Job Title: Development Engineer

A leading company in the specialized services sector for the metalworking industry is seeking a Development Engineer to join our team.

Objective:

The Development Engineer is responsible for meeting the client's savings and operational cost reduction goals. This includes analyzing and resolving technical problems related to tools and materials to perform cost-benefit analysis and improve performance.

Requirements:

 * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferably a recent graduate with a completed degree).

 * Experience in the metalworking and/or automotive industry.

 * Experience in a similar role or professional internships.

 * Fluency in English is essential.

Required Technical Competencies:

 * Experience with cutting, clamping, fastening tools, and spare parts.

 * Results-oriented.

 * Proficiency in using measuring equipment.

 * Experience in interpreting drawings, blueprints, tolerances, and/or technical specifications.

 * Analysis and determination of unit prices, cost per unit, and budgeting.

 * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Activities:

 * Interact with clients and suppliers.

 * Identify and recommend improvements to increase the productivity of machining processes, as well as solve problems within them.

 * Analyze tool life within the process (improvement and monitoring).

 * Verify and ensure that tools are available at their points of use.

 * Develop, maintain, and keep up-to-date the necessary work instructions for service delivery.

 * Coordinate activities, work teams, tools, and/or materials to meet client needs.
