Job Description
Working alongside some of the world's most talented Engineers, you will be responsible for creating, editing and manipulating a variety of Embedded Code for Value Engineering (VE) programs. Using your engineering and management skills to analyze and develop MCU architecture capabilities, you will provide and deliver innovative cost-reduction solutions that enhance the Resideo portfolio of existing and future products and services. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, being instrumental in enabling Resideo to evolve faster than our competitors. By providing technology uplift solutions to legacy devices, you will mitigate future component obsolescence risks, deliver customer satisfaction and margin growth that strengthen Resideo's position as a global market leader.
JOB DUTIES:
Accelerate innovation by taking on challenging Firmware development assignments
Engage with third party Engineering Service Providers and deliver project solutions
Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and applications for the Resideo Portfolio
Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers & IC Manufacturers
Creation of project charters and SOW specifications for VE programs
Design, develop, and test prototypes (Design Validation)
Support Product Engineering, Product Marketing and the Integrated Supply Chain organizations
Identify and troubleshoot hardware and firmware technical issues
Development of new code modules and solutions to uplift legacy designs to current technologies
Configuring existing FW for easy Porting between different MCU architectures
Develop innovative alternative design solutions to drive direct material and other COGS reductions MCU Strategy development
YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering
4-10 Years Experience in Embedded Firmware Design
Expert in the inner workings of MicroControllers/Microprocessors
Expert in multiple programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Linux, Assembly)
Advanced English communication skills

Working understanding of Real-time Operating Systems and Task Scheduler Concepts
Working understanding of encryption methodologies
Exceptional Communication, Interpersonal, Organizational and Written skills
Proven track record of project completion and delivery to the highest caliber
Experience leading others
A wide degree of creativity and latitude
Working understanding of communication technologies (e.g. Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee)
Design For 6 Sigma Green Belt Certified
