What you Will do:

The role of the Senior Procurement Costing Manager is to develop procurement category gap analysis and utilize costing tools to buy and procure product as competitively as possible. Advanced knowledge of product and process is required, as you bring reasonableness to the details. Need to support in the data collection of regional projects and corporate initiatives, with the potential of bringing business perspective to the data. Leader of cost analysis globally.

How you Will do it:

• Development of product cost models and specific category quote template sheets: material usage, material cost, equipment requirements, labor requirements, cycle times, tooling and capital requirements for new business or changes to current business
• Develop category gap analysis for specific procurement commodities
• Support should costing analysis of procurement cateogires
• Review complex bill of materials and manufacturing assumptions for reasonableness
• Communicate / Educate internal and external organizations regarding the cost data. This includes supplier financial and organizational leadership
• Rate Development - typical manufacturing needs (process, labor, overhead, etc)
• Set cost targets of purchased items.
• Support Purchasing negotiations.
• Support regional and corporate initiatives
• Ability to bridge financial data
• Actively contribute to departmental initiatives/process improvements to enhance the overall department's effectiveness.
• Commitment to use global costing procedures and tools
• Train cost engineers in India Engineering Center to use the product cost models and support the Global Products Organization with cost analysis
• Lead the cost engineers in the India Engineering Center to standardize the costing process and manage workload.

What we look for:

• Four Year College Technical Degree (Finance, Business, or Engineering desired). Masters desired.
• 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, product costing and/or engineering.
• Experience within the Automotive or Consumer Products Industry, desired.
• Foreign language skills desired.
• Strong computer skills, i.e., MS Office, especially Excel.
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Occasional travel required
