The North American Engineering Organization ismainly focused on North American products. It provides new productdevelopment as well as product line engineering support for equipment such asswitchgear, switchboards, panelboards, medium voltage circuit breakers andmotor control centers. This team also provides product line support forglobal products from the Power Offer Development team which is more focusedtoward electro-mechanical systems, components, automated engineeringconfiguration of systems and the application of electronic devices such asvariable speed drives. Schneider Electric is searching for a Technician tojoin our Engineering Laboratory in Monterrey, Mexico.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service for internal and external customers
Perform electrical, mechanical, thermal, functional, environmental and accuracy testing for power distribution components
Perform verification, validation and qualification testing of power distribution components
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and use cases in coordination with the testing engineer.
Collect, prepare and analyze test data
Prepare comprehensive and professional test reports
Maintain, calibrate and test laboratory equipment
Knowledge and application of safety procedures and practices for working around on energized equipment having a complete knowledge of the hazards involved
Keeps abreast of industry standards and specifications for test methods.
Participate on implementation and maintenance of international Standards requirements for Labs
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in electrical technology or related field preferred
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical concepts, terminology and applications
Proficiency in English and Spanish
Required Technical Skill
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Planning and scheduling
Project management
Required Personal Qualities and Skills:

Additional Experience and Knowledge Considered aPlus:
Experience in validation, verification and qualification testing of low and medium voltage power distribution equipment and components
Familiarity with power distribution systems including equipment and components
Familiarity with power monitoring and control systems
Familiarity with relevant industry standards from NEMA, ANSI, IEC, CSA and UL
Use of, 8D and 5S tools
Working Knowledge of LabView
