Tech Responsibility Lead – Americas (Corporate IT Platforms)
Reports to: VP, Head of IT for Corporate Business Platforms
Role Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and purpose-driven professional to lead responsible technology practices in the Americas region. This role ensures that all tech initiatives are ethical, sustainable, inclusive, and aligned with global ESG goals. You will drive cross-functional collaboration with IT, Legal, Corporate Responsibility, and other teams to embed responsible innovation throughout the tech lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute the Tech Responsibility roadmap for the region in alignment with global standards.
Lead regional projects focused on ethical tech, sustainability, accessibility, and responsible AI.
Track and report KPIs related to tech responsibility and ensure proper governance.
Represent the region in global committees and adapt global initiatives locally.
Build and manage a Tech Responsibility Champion network to drive awareness and cultural change.
Identify and mitigate ethical, legal, and social risks related to technology use.
Support RFP processes, vendor assessments, and tech procurement from a sustainability lens.
Collaborate on sustainability reporting, carbon footprint analysis, and energy efficiency in IT.
Promote and guide responsible innovation practices across teams.
Represent the company in external forums and maintain visibility on emerging trends and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Law, Ethics, Public Policy, or related field.
5+ years in technology roles and 3+ years in ethics, compliance, ESG, or data governance.
Solid knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, SBTI), carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable IT.
Experience with AI, data ethics, energy-efficient systems, e-waste management, and responsible sourcing.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
