Purpose: To implement techniques and methods, safety job procedures, risk improvements, transforming and improving cultural challenges within the organization while preventing, reducing, and eliminating the cost of HSE. This role must work closely with other members of the Management team (lead indirectly by the site plant manager, and directly by the site HSE Manager) to ensure the ongoing success of the site.

The clear objective is to reduce high risk and support the site operation towards zero injuries and progressive improvement of our group's Safety Audits (corporate) and maintaining our ISO 14001 certification.

Dimensions of Position:

• Support and advise the site management team and HSE site managers. This job description is illustrative, but not limited, it may include the following or others according to the site operation needs:

• Investigate and propose preventive measures in the field of occupational health that prevent the company from impacting the degrees of risk due to permanent partial disabilities.
• Lead accident investigations, participate in the identification of root causes, and follow up on the established actions until permanent closure.
• Participation in the monitoring of the legal requirements applicable to Safety, Environment, and Health. (Processing of permits or licenses for the operation of the company).
• Participate in the development and dissemination of a culture of accident prevention (maintaining the goal of zero accidents)
• Participation and support to the Occupational Health Department in its Industrial Health and Hygiene initiatives
• Participation and support to the Environment and Sustainability department.
• Support for the Security, Occupational, and Environmental areas within the HSE department.

• · Follow-up to audit and inspection findings
• · Report and inform their immediate superior of any situation that exceeds their level of authority and responsibility.
• · Preparation and monitoring of the annual Health, Safety, and Environment program for your area.
• · Ensure the follow-up of the self-diagnosis program for compliance during the corporate audit and based on an annual compliance strategy.
• · Evaluation and reduction of waste (safety risks, cost, waste, energy, etc.) in areas under responsibility.
• ·Participate proactively in the preparation, monitoring, and implementation of procedures, records, and activities related to quality systems and continuous improvement systems.
• Participate in the development and dissemination of the awareness program among workers, following the regulations in HSE to preserve the Health & Safety and Environment.
• Audit and recommend occupational health, safety, environmental, or sustainability actions.
• Development and compliance with the HSE training program for the entire plant.
• Ensure the deployment and standardization of procedures and good practices in the workplace
• Assist with HSE projects and other administrative tasks related to HSE topics.
• Communicate openly with coworkers and management and keep in mind that HSE is a priority.
• Follow up weekly, monthly, Quarterly, and annual reports.
• Develop safety campaigns, policies, rules, and procedures to improve HSE
• Support the development of a strategic plan with managers and staff to seek continuous improvement in HSE and support areas (Site Safety Improvement Plant - Road safety Map, longer term)
• Led the emergency response team-Brigade Team (established structure and provide training), managed emergency equipment, and assisted the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures
• Lead support during emergency and emergency drills.
• Assist the Medical Department on the annual medical test of the employees.
• Interact with all departments to assist with HSE issues.
• Provide daily guidance and direction in HSE programs at the employee / Group Leader level to ensure a common and effective approach.
• Main contact to customer needs in terms of HSE.
• Consulting and advising from the HSE, public, and other networks on Health & Safety best practices.

Key Result Areas:

• Develop, manage, and follow-up safety indicators (KPI, SSIP (incident, audit, & IOPA´s))
• Ensure timely and effective incident investigation, reporting, and information sharing for the manufacturing plant and customer sites
• Coordinate physical agents/ chemical agents and give follow-up on the required improvements till their implementations
• Provide training according to onsite
• Follow up legal aspects applicable to the Health & Safety of the site of responsibility.
