The Opportunity

As a Web Front-End Engineer you will craft solutions that enable transformative web capabilities within Takeda and participate actively in the team by taking contributor role in discussions and ceremonies to help shape implementable user stories. You will consult & embed with business teams to participate on the development of Drupal modules and features.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality modern user experiences built in modern Front-End frameworks and libraries.
• Implement reusable libraries across applications.
• Ensure responsive design works across computing platforms.
• Develop application code and automated tests in selected framework and/or library,
• Partner with the design team around usability and UI/UX concerns.
• Uses an analytical approach and independent judgment to resolves complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions that consistently deliver quality IT solutions.
• Builds systems of medium-high complexity with guidance.
• Work as technical specialist alongside business, product development and infrastructure teams within a distributed agile environment.
• Collaborate with more senior team members to implement feedback on pull request reviews.
• Continuously collaborate with Product Owner to demo developed functionality and validate against specified requirements.
• Ensure high performance for global users through performance tests and tuning.
• Collaborate with agile team members to craft clear user stories and continuously deliver product increments.
• Estimate work based on user stories and functional requirements or wireframes.
• Contribute to Takeda's mission by leading the development and adoption of solutions that deliver business outcomes and drive innovation.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems analysis or a related study.
• 3+ years relevant web development experience. Drupal development experience or willingness to upskill is a plus!
• Experience as an Front-End developer
• Proficient in SASS, CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code.
• Experience using JavaScript and/or Drupal building tools like Gulp, Grunt, Behat.
• Knowledge of JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks and/or Drupal JavaScript API (Drupal.js).
• Experience with build tools, Webpack, pre-processors etc.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Self-starter with a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, a team player with a 'winning as a team' attitude.
• Ability to continuously enhances own skills.
• Ability to write and speak in the English language.
• Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment.
