Our Warranty Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing the warranty claims process across our automotive manufacturing plants.
This role serves as a critical liaison between customers, plant operations, and internal quality teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of warranty claims, root cause analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial, Quality, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in warranty coordination, quality, or customer service in the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive OEM and Tier 1 warranty processes and systems.
Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa), FMEA, and control plans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/Quality Management Systems (e.g., SAP, QAD, Plex, etc.).
VDA 6.5 and field claims.
IATF 16949
Other Skills:
Fluent in English and Spanish. (this is s must)
Strong negotiation skills during claims or disputes.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge of customer portals (e.g., VW, GM GART, Ford Q1, Stellantis PRAS).
Certifications in quality or problem-solving methodologies (CQIA, Six Sigma, etc.).
Experience in handling warranty data analytics and cost recovery.
