Position Objective
Lead and ensure the achievement of operational, financial, and strategic results for the plant by overseeing operational processes and financial performance. The position is responsible for managing the functions of HSE, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Controllership, and Human Resources, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. It will focus on driving continuous improvement, ensuring quality and compliance, and maximizing profitability through expert leadership and the use of innovative solutions to support the company's growth and success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Define and execute business strategies to achieve company objectives and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Manage financial results, including the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement and EBIT (Earnings Before Interest and Taxes), ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Supervise operations across Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Materials (Planning, Purchasing, Warehousing, Shipment, and Logistics) to ensure seamless workflows.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements (OEM, Tier 1, Aftermarket, and OES), and operational efficiency.
- Analyze complex multidimensional issues, implementing innovative solutions to improve processes and drive continuous improvement through methodologies like Lean Manufacturing.
- Lead and develop a workforce of 200 employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and professional growth.
- Promote the effective use of ERP systems (preferably SAP) to enhance operational excellence, decision-making, and reporting.
Essential to have:
- English Level: Fluent C1-C2 (able to maintain business conversations).
- Experience: A least 5 years in a similar position (Plant Manager/Operations Manager) in the Automotive Industry, preferably with multinational companies.
- Proven experience working with OEM and Tier 1, Aftermarket & OES.
Schooling/Location:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in fields such as Engineering , Administration, or related areas. (CVs from other disciplines will be considered based on relevant experience, knowledge, and skills).
- Job Location: Based in Querétaro, México.
Knowledge:
- Financial management and analysis of P&L (Profit & Loss), responsible for the profitability and results of the business unit in Mexico.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, for operations management and financial reporting.
- Extensive knowledge in manufacturing and logistics: production, maintenance, materials planning, purchasing, warehousing, and transportation.
- Experience in continuous improvement, implementing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing to optimize processes and reduce costs.
- Strong understanding of the automotive market: experience with OEM and Tier 1 clients and familiarity with the Aftermarket and OES sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge in administration: finance, human resources, sales, and IT to support strategic decision-making.
