Position Overview
The Process Engineer is responsible to ensure, that all the processes that he/she is responsible for, have a standard work that guarantees: a) The safety of our employees, b) The quality of our products, c) The high efficiency of our processes and d) A productive capacity that allows us to complete our deliveries on time
What you'll do
Perform safety process walks on his/her processes and ensure effective countermeasures to the identified risks, to guarantee zero accidents due to process
· Define the Direct Labor “needed to run” for each of his/her processes in the plant and to document it on a monthly basis
· Lead the multidisciplinary teams in the actions to achieve Process Target Efficiencies in his/her processes
· Develop and maintain the Standard Work for his/her processes that allow us to achieve our targeted efficiency (including packaging)
· Define and maintain the cycle times for each operation of his/her processes, and document it on monthly basis
· Support the LV1 test phase and its proper documentation of the results. (headcount, cycle times, rates, efficiencies, scrap %, rework %, etc)
· Support on a successful implementation of the process on time for new launches. (LV1 passed and no major issues in process)
· Develop and maintain PFMEAs for each of our processes, and lead the multidisciplinary teams in the reviews of the PFMEAs in order to prevent cost of poor quality
· Perform, on a weekly basis, a Gemba Walk to one of his/her process on the plant to guarantee the compliance with standard work and guidelines, identify opportunities and issues, document the findings and ensure effective countermeasures to correct current issues and to prevent potential ones (including packaging).
· Validate and approve packaging design, specifications and appearance for new packaging or new equipment/tooling for packaging, for his/her processes (together with Packaging CoE)
· Lead and track the ECN implementation, on time and within the budget for his/her processes
· Lead and perform packaging trials and tests in the plant (together with Packaging CoE) for his/her processes
· Participate in the definition of the optimal layout for any new equipment, tooling or process including packaging (together with IE CoE), for his/her processes
· Participate in the definition of the optimal process flow for any new equipment, tooling or process including packaging (together with IE CoE)
· Lead productive capacities studies and validation for current or new processes, for his/her processes
· Support Best Practice Projects development and implementation (as needed), for his/her processes
· Support LV2 events for new Launches (as needed), for his/her processes
· Support Special projects development and implementation (as needed), for his/her processes
· Support Automation Projects development and implementation (as needed), for his/her processes
· Remove any roadblocks that can prevent his/her Process to achieve our Operational Metrics
· Keeps communicated to the Engineering Site Lead of any potential risk or major issue, for his/her processes
Who you are
Engineering degree or equivalent
· At least 3 yrs of experience process or manufacturing areas
· At least 1 yrs of experience as a Leader in manufacturing industry
· At least 1 year of experience in projects (desirable)
· Bilingual in English 70%
