The Pricing Department plays a key role in ensuring fast, accurate, and competitive land freight quotes. Our goal is to respond to client requests in under five minutes, supporting quick decisions and efficient logistics operations. We aim to balance speed, accuracy, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate freight quotes in less than 5 minutes.
Actively follow up on every quote—don't wait for clients to respond.
Be available for urgent client needs, including after hours.
Make quick, well-informed decisions to close shipments.
Conduct detailed cost analysis using tools like Sylectus, DAT, Green Screens, and IVIA.
Work closely with the LTC team on import/export lanes.
Ensure quotes reflect all costs clearly—no hidden fees.
Maintain competitiveness and profitability in every proposal.
Support tracking and operations teams when needed.
Verify carrier availability and provide operational alternatives as needed.
Follow up with clients post-shipment to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
Monitor costs (transportation, customs, insurance, etc.) and keep rate data updated.
Share insights from client interactions with the sales and operations teams.
Analyze performance metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement.
Track all submitted and pending quotes using platforms like Cargobase.
Prospect for new business and identify evolving client needs.
Help resolve issues related to failed or delayed shipments.
Build lasting client relationships through reliability and value-added service.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field (required).
3–5 years of experience in logistics, pricing, or customer service (preferred).
Advanced English (required); Spanish is a plus.
Experience in RFQs, rate negotiation, and carrier management is a plus.
Strong Excel and pricing software skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Availability to work flexible hours when required.
Proactive, analytical, and results-driven mindset.
