Descripción
The Creative Operations Manager will lead our Mexico City creative hub, supporting a US-based design agency. The Creative Operations Manager will manage creative work, lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, and ensure seamless collaboration across borders. This is an opportunity to drive creative excellence and elevate our capabilities in Mexico while delivering high-quality work that aligns with US-based brand standards.
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and empower a team of creatives including designers, art directors, adaptive designers, and project managers.
- Strong communication and prioritization skills to ensure a positive team culture that delivers high-quality work with timely execution.
- Experience managing a remote or hybrid team while ensuring alignment with US-based creative leadership.
2. Creative & Design Knowledge
- Strong understanding of retail advertising, packaging design, graphic design, art direction, adaptive design, and digital production workflows.
- Familiarity with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.) and best practices for digital and print production.
3. Project & Workflow Management
- Expertise in managing creative operations and workflows within an ad agency or graphic design firm setting.
- Familiarity with project management tools (Workfront, Monday com, Asana, Trello, etc.); experience with Workfront is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure efficient scheduling, prioritization, and workload balancing.
- Experience setting up and managing traffic coordination processes to optimize team efficiency and project flow.
- Strong understanding of revision cycles, approvals, and stakeholder management.
5. Business & Operational Acumen
- Experience budgeting and allocating resources for a creative team, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Understanding of contracts, freelancer and vendor management in Mexico, including local labor laws and best practices.
- Familiarity with profitability tracking, resource utilization, and efficiency metrics.
- Knowledge of US intellectual property laws, brand compliance, and creative licensing for digital and print assets.
