Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the CMM area in a high state of cleanliness and organization
- Operate and program the CMM and other metrology equipment in a safe manner as per the manufacturer's guidelines
- Clean and maintain all CMM and other metrology equipment to a level that ensures accurate results and as per the manufacturer's guidelines
- Complete all tests as per submitted test requests. Record all findings on the proper documentation and forward the completed report to the requester
- Arrange and support equipment calibrations as per the gauge management software
- Maintain a calibration schedule that ensures an on-time calibration status
- Save all dimensional reports with revision identification in the designated electronic folder
- Any other duties as assigned by the QA Manager / Director of Quality
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (CQT preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CMM/Metrology work.
- At least 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Romer Arm (CMM) training preferred.
- GDT and MSA certification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Quality and Environmental Management System procedures related to the role.
- Experience in injection molding preferred.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Hands-on experience with problem-solving techniques, quality systems, and CMM measurements.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Intermediate to fluent English communication skills.
