An important metalworking company located in the La Bomba Industrial Park is seeking to fill a Customer Quality Engineer position due to growth.

Lean Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for applying lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing systems to achieve operational excellence.

They are expected to reduce waste, improve processes and help businesses operate more efficiently.

Sample responsibilities for this position include:

• Identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving productivity while coordinating the implementation of these improvements

• Develop, training and implementation in 5 S's methodology

• Facilitate the planning and implementation of workplace flow & layout, equipment installations, modifications, and moves according to Lean concepts

• Stabilize the production processes

• Will organize and measure the progress of improvement initiatives and ensure plant wide consistency, while adhering to company policies and safety standards

• To follow Company policies and display expected conduct of Norplas employees as described in the Norplas Employee Handbook

• Report any accident, injury, or near miss immediately and report any unsafe work conditions in the workplace

• Implement World Class Manufacturing business systems, utilizing the MAFACT concept

• Monitors and communicates labor, delivery and lead-time performance metrics for the operations team and management

• Actively deploys ACE / LEAN as an operating system
