Production Engineering Specialist

As a Production Engineering Specialist, you will drive improvements in production of the Electrification Business in San Luis Potosí. In this role your focus will be on optimizing the manufacturing process through innovation in a cost-effective way.

This position reports to

Production Development Manager

Your responsibilities

• Defining the sequence of the production process in line with material and investment budgets.
• Ensuring optimal efficiency in production methods, equipment performance and materials/components.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to the manufacturing process in line with cost, safety and timing requirements.
• Investigating new methods, technologies and changes in equipment and process design to meet specifications.
• Defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources and personnel to ensure smooth implementation of new processes and a skilled, competent team.
• Consulting and working with production operators and supervisors to implement changes on the production line.

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Project Management in manufacturing process, automation and transfer technology.
• Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar systems for Manufacturing design, Layouts, Tooling & Fixtures Design.
• Lean Manufacturing, Lean Materials Flow and Green Belt experience.
• Demonstrated experience working on a production line. (Supervisory experience is an advantage.).
• Green Belt Certified.
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong oral and written communication with leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, make decisions in difficult or ambiguous situation.
• Advanced English level.
