JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Jr. Healthcare Specialist will provide assistance with scheduling, follow ups & amp; patient inquiries; handling inbound and outbound calls for hospitals, medical offices, clinics, insurance companies, attorneys or law firms in the US.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handling all inbound calls from patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments with in-house providers and external specialists, ensuring timely follow-ups and procedures.
- Accurate tracking, updating, and maintaining patient medical records while ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Proactively following up with patients to schedule necessary appointments and ensure continuity of care.
- Entering and updating patient information, medical history, and treatment details in electronic health records and patient portals with precision.
- Facilitating specialist referrals, coordinating communication between providers, and overseeing patients' ongoing care to ensure seamless treatment plans.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in related field (preferred)
- Prior experience of customer service (ideal healthcare).
