Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

• Leads all available resources necessary to maintain an effective Quality Control Program.
• Create a strategy in the value stream to systematically reduce internal and improve customer quality.
• Ensure compliance of products and manufacturing with quality requirements.
• Responsible to sustain the quality of manufactured products, and maturity increment in Quality methods deployment.
• Main enabler to assure compliance of quality requirements of Series productions and manufacturing process by the use of Quality core tools, Problem Solving, Q-methodologies, applicable state of the art digital quality tools, following Bosch directives and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads and manage team of engineers & technicians to full fill & exceed quality requirements for products/processes/customer/systems.
• Sponsor 8D team leaders of customer complaints for manufacturing.
• Defines strategy and follow up of internal defect cost (IDC) and fall off rate (FOR) reports and PDCA.
• Defines and deploys strategy to maintain the quality system requirements in value stream.
• Ensure proper acknowledge in the analysis technicians to ensure the correct analysis of the part rejected from production lines.
• Analyze internal and external quality KPI's and defines measures for improvement in indirect areas.
• Raise and promotes conscience and awareness of shop floor personnel about the quality initiatives importance.
• Maintains regular communication within IPN on Q-related topics. Identifies bests practices and defines and deploys actions in the VS.
• Involves and coordinates projects with development group that impact manufacturing quality.
• Enable compliance and follow up of all Quality Basics.
• Define clear strategy to increment maturity in Q Basics.
• Plan and enable development of their team.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Bilingual (Spanish and Advanced English).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5 Years of Experience on Manufacturing Quality and leadership.
• Provide technical expertise to trouble-shoot and eliminate quality concerns in all phases of testing, processing.
• Ownership of customer complaints for manufacturing.
• Participate and supports line releases, taking manufacturing quality responsibilities after SOP.
• Quality tools (Maturity assessments, Quality Gates, Problem solving techniques) effectively used.
• Maintenance of internal defect cost (IDC) and fall off rate (FOR) reports and PDCA.
• Maintenance of CP and PFMEA.
• Maintenance of EWS.
• Non-conformities related to product quality or control of the process to maintain quality are followed up and closed.
• Responsible of performing capabilities studios for human inspections.
• WSR "manufacturing quality checklist" responsibility.
• Substantial product and manufacturing process knowledge, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, ISO TS 16949, IATF19494.
• Expert in problem Solving Methods (8D, Fishbone, 5Why, 6Sigma/Shainin,...).
• High level of acknowledge of customer Requirements (GM, Chrysler, VW, BMW).
• Moderation and communication/negotiation skills.
• Ability to build relationships across different regions (intercultural abilities). High level of intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness to access and solve problems.
