About the Team

Whether driving autonomously or manually, the team ensures safety, comfort, and dynamics.

What you can look forward to as Supplier Development Engineer?

• Supplier Qualification & Onboarding; Evaluate and approve new suppliers based on capability audits, capacity studies, and risk assessments.
• Performance Monitoring & Improvement; Track and analyze supplier performance using KPIs (PPM, OTD, etc.).Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans (e.g., 8D).
• Process Audits & Capability Assessments; Conduct on-site process audits (e.g., Layered Process Audits, VDA 6.3). Assess manufacturing processes, equipment capability, and quality systems.
• Quality Management Support; Support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions and validation. Collaborate on Control Plans, FMEAs, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Launch Support; Work with suppliers during new program launches to ensure readiness (tooling, capacity, documentation).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration; Coordinate with purchasing, quality, engineering, and logistics teams. Act as a technical interface between internal teams and supplier facilities.

Your Profile as Supplier Development Engineer:

• 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
• English Advanced
• Commodity Knowledge on forging & forming, iron casting, stamping and machining processes
• Quality Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, VDA6.3, 8D) Knowledge
• Support supplier development activities when requiered by SQA
• Evaluation of risk analysis
• Project management skills
• Peform process audit at assigned suppliers
• Willingness for business travel (50% - 80%)
