Overview

Engineering Group Manager, Customer Facing Integrations will work in collaboration with the Strategic Business Units (SBUs), the Digital Transformation Team, the Controls Engineering Group, the Finance Group and others as needed to deliver software-based solutions for selling both products online, as well as Software as a Service (SaaS) to customers in the irrigation industry, including distributors, contractors, Public Agencies, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Strategic Business Units, internal central control software developers, 3rd party software providers and 3rd party contract developers
• Design and manage software and SaaS integration platforms to create seamless eCommerce experiences between Rain Bird products and Payment Systems.
• Design and development of the eCommerce Store (Magento and other platforms)
• Mange development of cloud-based systems to work with eCommerce products and platforms.
• Participate heavily in all phases of product conceptualization, justification, requirements definition, development, implementation, and launch of new digitally based offerings, including new Software as a Service offerings.
• Prepare budget and schedule estimates for new projects.
• Document processes and platforms to clearly map current and potential future system interactions and architecture.
• Help develop and support better tracking and reporting for the eCommerce business.
• Work with the Quality Assurance group to identify and fix defects.
• Hire employees and contractors, as needed, to meet Rain Bird's business needs

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate must meet all the Minimum Qualifications listed below. If the candidate does not meet one or more of the Desired Qualifications, they must have the aptitude and drive to become adept at those areas in a relatively short period of time:

• Must have at least 10 years of experience developing full stack software in a business, ecommerce environment.
• Proficient with C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Windows Forum, Angular 2+, WCF, SOA, and SQL Server
• Deep experience as a software developer using Magento, Drupel, Digital River, or similar eCommerce platforms.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Cursors, Joins, Constraints, and User Defined Functions.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Ability to implement business logic, query the database and create complex reports (that are simple to consume) for business Intelligence.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Proficient with Jira and Scrum to manage the status of projects, bugs, and issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• The desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies.
• S. in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience and appreciation of multi-cultural working environments.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate degree in business or a technical discipline
• Five years of management experience relevant to the position responsibilities and qualifications.
