Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of technology applications used in the retail environment, particularly point-of-sale (POS) solutions. The individual will also ensure effective integration with other systems, maintain data quality, and optimize application performance.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support retail technology solutions, including POS platforms.
• Develop integrations for real-time and batch data exchange.
• Participate in technical analysis, solution design, and documentation.
• Collaborate with integration teams to ensure consistent data flows across platforms.
• Contribute to the planning of technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in applications and processes.
• Communicate clearly with both technical teams and business users.
• Apply project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
• Coordinate with local and global technical teams, including vendors.
• Take part in continuous improvement, innovation, and compliance initiatives.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with POS platforms like CEGID or GK Omni.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience integrating with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Proficiency in developing REST and SOAP APIs with modern authentication protocols.
• Scripting skills (Batch, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
• Experience with business intelligence tools (ETL, SSRS, SSIS).
• Programming experience in .NET (VB/C#), JavaScript, and HTML.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Ability to produce technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Prior retail industry experience is a plus.
