What You Will Do
Your primary responsibility will be the design and documentation of high-density mixed technology printed circuit boards and the associated mechanical parts, following in-house and commonly accepted design guidelines. We pride ourselves in training, building relationships and value engineering our products. With the expertise you bring on board, you will be working with some of the most experienced engineers in the field and report directly to the director of product design of the engineering department headed by the vice president of global engineering technology.

What You Will Do

- You will be asked to work closely with the electrical engineers, other members of the mechanical design group and manufacturing engineering, to produce the most suitable product satisfying the stringent design criteria's and the DFX guidelines for manufacturability and reliability.
- As part of the design and documentation process, you will be asked to participate in the design reviews and collaborate with the other team members to solidify design approaches and work towards providing manufacturing and material procurement the information they need. This will include providing BOM's and supporting 2D drawings or 3D models, etc.

- As a member of an energetic and fast pace engineering team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the mechanical design of advanced high voltage power supplies used in medical imaging, analytical instrumentation, industrial test equipment, security & under water communication, amongst many others.
What You Need
- An Associate Degree in an Engineering field is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience designing PC Boards using Altium, PCAD, PADs, or similar CAD tools is required. Experience in the switching power supply industry is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of electronic circuit layout and electronic packaging is required.
- PCB related mechanical design capability using AutoCAD, Inventor 3D or similar CAD tools is required. General mechanical packaging design experience using 3D modeling is highly desirable.
- Thorough familiarity with BOM and ERP systems is required.
