Kiewit Mexico, one of North America's largest and most respected construction and engineering organizations, is seeking a Civil Designer to join their team. As an Civil Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the industry's most complex and challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with engineers and project managers in designing and drafting plans for infrastructure (e.g. roads, bridges, water sewage treatment plants).
• Ensure projects are completed within allotted budgets and schedules.
• Develop and maintain project plans and schedules in coordination with other project team members.
• Prepare designs and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Conduct site visits to assess site conditions and obtain necessary data for designs.
• Collaborate with other team members to prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Prepare project proposals, tender documents, and submittals as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in designing and drafting infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D, TEKLA, SAP structural and Smartplant design software.
• Knowledge of Mexican normativity (RCDF, NTCS, CFE (Wind - Earthquake))
• Knowledge in structural design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of local and national building codes and regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
