What will you do?

The Frontend Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support of solutions for ThermoFisher Scientific's Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gene AI) initiatives. You will work with the latest cloud and frontend technology to create cutting-edge solutions and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of over 200 Software Engineers. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to share your knowledge to help drive innovation and progress forward.

How will you get here?

Education

BS/MS in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalently technical disciplines preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of solid experience UI web applications development preferred.
• 5+ years/strong background in Angular/React, JavaScript, Node.js., CSS preferred.
• Experience in defining and implementing Usability Requirements and UX Guidelines for a development team preferred.
• 1+ years with AWS Cloud Services such as S3, CloudFront, EKS, RDS, CloudWatch preferred.
• Experience using other cloud platforms with similar services will be considered (e.g., Azure, GCP).
• Database design and implementation with SQL and NOSQL.
• Experience with Git and Git Flow branching methodology.
• Unit and Integration Testing experience is a must. Karma/Jasmin toolkit exposure is desirable.
• Microservices architectures and RESTful APIs exposure.
• Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tool experience is a must.
• Agile/Scrum software development.
• UI/UX App development portfolio a plus.
• AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate and Professional a plus.

• Ability to provide technical leadership to the team to help on technical solutions and instill best practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
