Job Description
What you will do
As the Maintenance Group Leader, you will be responsible for a small to medium group of maintenance employees. You will manage the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems in addition to the following responsibilities
- You will conduct appropriate checks and tests, and communicate evaluation of results
- Recommends solutions to problems
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
- Meets schedule and quality requirements
- Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
- Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
- Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project. Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
Additional Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, lead continuous improvement activities, assure score card metrics accomplishment and manage work teams according to GMS.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing
operation.
- Design and modify electrical control circuits and programs. Support plant continuous improvement activity.
- Experience with manufacturing process equipment, knowledge of system engineering, software development & hardware integration.
- Highly developed oral & written communication skills. Continuously improve quality, cost, responsiveness & safety.
Qualifications:
Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
MS Office
Knowledge about maintenance systems like Maximo.
Experience with specific systems like conveyors, pumps, PLCs, etc.
Controls knowledge desirable.
Fanuc Robots - programming and troubleshooting is highly desirable, but not required.
Paint process experience.
Intermediate English
This position will require overtime and off-shift production support at times and working during weekends. Change shifts is required (6x1)
Assure process control plans execution
Lead, manage and track PFMEA across the shop
Diagnose and correct deficiencies in manufacturing processes
