Job position: Senior Software Architect
Overall responsibilities and duties:

Our Senior Software Architect brings expert technical development skills and strong software engineering skills to Forvia Electronics. In addition to the skills expected of software engineers, the Senior Software Architect is expected to bring experience with designing and engineering automotive solutions.

The main missions of the role are:

• Analyze the SW requirements and system architecture for current and future programs.
• Analyze the Hardware-Software interface specification provided by the hardware team.
• Develop high level software architecture for ASIL rated applications, including but not limited to :
  • • • Defining the safety and control data flows
      • Defining the various views of the architecture which includes static and dynamic views of the software
      • Defining the sequence of events in the software using one or more sequence diagrams
      • Defining the performance and resource consumption objectives for the micro processors
      • Allocation of the Software requirements to the Software architecture elements
      • Develop interfaces between the Software architectural elements
• Documentation of the Software Architecture in conformance to the automotive industry standards/guidelines and internal guidelines and strategies
• Responsible for analysing and verifying that the software architecture design meets all derived software requirements including performance, throughput, latency.
• Develop software architectures to meet automotive standards including but not limited to Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, etc.
• Perform impact analysis for proposed software changes
• Participate in the safety analysis of software solutions
• Identify the vulnerabilities or short coming of architectures
• Drive continuous improvements to Software Architecture to improve and optimize the software performance
• Participate in project team and customer reviews of software architectures
• Participate in software team meetings to understand the project time lines and software architecture deliverables.
• Plan and estimate the tasks associated with the architecture deliverables
• Identify and communicate the risks to the Software and Product Development Leads.
• Help the software development team understand the architecture by leading presentations, workshops, etc.
• Occasionally mentor software developers, engineers, and interns
• Occasionally review code and unit tests of other software developers and engineers on the team
