What is Travelport?

Travelport is the brains behind lots of your travel bookings. Plane, car or hotel. You name it, we do it. Our technology is used to book that magical family holiday, infamous bachelorette party or long overdue school reunion. While we can't solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we're looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.

The Front End Web Developer Internship:

6-months', 40* hours per week 9-5pm Monday- Friday, fixed-term contract starting July 2025!

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.js.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, accuracy, and functionality.
• Assist in troubleshooting and improving existing applications.

Who we are looking for in this role:

• You are enrolled in the final year of a relevant degree program, such as Computer Science, Electronics, Informatics or Software Engineering and are due to graduate in 2025.
• Solid understanding of core web technologies-HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+); experience with backend technologies or full-stack development is a plus.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as React and Vue.js.
• Basic understanding of REST and gRPC APIs and how to integrate them into web applications.
• Knowledge of common algorithms (e.g., bubble sort or quicksort; linear or binary search) and simple data structures (e.g., arrays, lists, or stacks).
• Basic understanding of Git for version control, including commands like clone, commit, push, and pull.
• Willingness to learn and ability to adjust to new tools, tasks, or platforms.
• You have strong communication skills, in Spanish and English; you're able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• You are based in Guadalajara and available to come to the office 3 days per week.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Scala or functional programming concepts is a plus and may be considered favorably for future full-time opportunities after the internship.

The offer:

$11,000 MX monthly (bruto) for 40 hours per week
