We're seeking a Systems Administrator (Linux) to be the guiding light for our valued customers. If you're passionate about troubleshooting, problem-solving, and being a champion for technical excellence, we've got a place for you in our team.
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact, providing top-notch technical support to customers via phone, email, or chat
- Perform remote troubleshooting, expertly reproducing and isolating customer issues across various environments
- Collaboratively determine optimal solutions based on customer input and issue details
- Guide customers through the step-by-step process of resolving technical issues
- Take full ownership of customer problems, ensuring end-to-end technical resolution
- Develop and document best practices, elevating our processes to new heights
- Record and document interactions, prioritizing and executing tasks effectively
- Monitor and track incident progress, maintaining open lines of communication with customers
- Collaborate with software engineering teams, opening and documenting bugs for investigation
- Drive cases forward, engaging other teams as needed, all while deepening your technical expertise
- Adhere to security guidelines, procedures, and best practices to uphold excellence in every action
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in IT Operations Support
- Demonstrated expertise in Linux administration
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting logs, including Linux and HTTP
- Ability to troubleshoot and explain investigations to both technical and non-technical individuals
- Showcasing critical thinking skills, including investigation, analysis, interpretation, evaluation, and problem-solving
- Stellar client-facing abilities with a keen eye for detail and a knack for understanding diverse client needs
- Fluent English communication skills, exceeding a B2+ level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with impeccable grammar and syntax
- Extensive experience in documentation creation, including articles, workflows, and procedures
- Strong email correspondence and phone etiquette
- Adept at managing high volumes and tight timeframes
- Exceptional time management skills with a focus on prioritization
- Self-motivated and an independent learner
- A team player with the ability to foster rapport and collaboration
- Highly motivated, multitasking professional with a customer-centric approach
Nice to have
- ITIL certification or experience in ITIL-based processes
- Knowledge in Javascript and Python (reading and understanding code)
- Experience with Gsuite products, adding extra depth to your skill set
