Job Description
The Ford Champs Program provides students with hands-on, career-specific experience inside Ford of Mexico.
Ford Champs looks forward to providing you with key knowledge and significant experiences for your professional career. Responsibilities
As a BOM Ford Champ, you will be responsible to coordinate and make sure the BOM completeness and quality of data in support of the Change Management Process and prototype builds. BOM Engineer tracks the impact of Material Cost, Weight and Investment adjustments during Change Management from Early Stages and until Program Approval, work together with Prototype Purchasing by qualifying the Prototype BOM to initiate the Prototype Sourcing process in support of the Fit Prototype Process and makes sure the design intent is accurate in the visual representation in the PLM system (TcE).
What you'll do:
Lead strategy for a smart digital representation in the PLM system of the design intent, avoiding over and under representation of parts declared in the early BOM system.

What you'll do:
- Support in identifying AI-driven projects within BOM Ops. processes.
- Assist in exploring BOM Ops. project requirements for integrating artificial intelligence.
- Analyze and manipulate data from various sources that interacts with BOM Ops.
- Support the development of BOM Ops. project plans.
- Assist in visualizing data and interpreting BOM Ops. Processes data.
- Participate in communicating results to different audiences.
- Request and validate that the prototype BOM file for active program is created with accurate data.
- Develop a work plan for prototype BOM file management, start date, cadence and interaction model with purchasing, engineering and program management teams.
- Understand upcoming build module requirements and the impact to Prototype BOM / purchasing system blanket order requirements.
- Follow up issues on prototype BOM and contact the responsible/owner of the part(s) so all required information is entered in the prototype BOM.
- Update Purchasing comments with the latest Causal codes and drive resolution of all engineering issues required to progress purchasing system blanket orders (both qualified and non-qualified parts)
- Review and analyze all changes in the early BOM system to determine the proper action in the PLM system to maintain systems aligned.
- Support reviews to digital bucks and drive issues to closure

Qualifications
- Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Computer Engineering, Data science, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
- Programming Skills (coding in VBA Excel macros, Python desirable)
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (Spanish and English)
- Microsoft Office management (Power BI, Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Ability to analyze complex problems and assess possible solutions
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
- A commitment to keep up to date with new technology
- Excellent team working and people skills
- Leadership, persuasion, and influence on others
- 3D CAD software desirable (CATIA V5, NX, etc)
- PDM systems knowledge desirable (Teamcenter Engineering/3DX).
