In KEMET de México we are seeking for a Software Engineer who will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining customized applications for manufacturing environments, with an emphasis on MES platforms and internal web solutions. They will collaborate with key users to understand requirements, propose improvements to existing applications, and ensure software quality through functional testing. Additionally, they will provide technical support for deployed solutions and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of digital processes within the plant.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in web development.
• Strong proficiency in web programming languages (.NET required).
• Experience with modern web frameworks (Vue. js required).
• Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server or Oracle SQL).
• Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle).
• Experience developing distributed web applications on the cloud (Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from internal users.
• Design technical solutions aligned with manufacturing, logistics, quality, maintenance, and other processes.
• Develop custom applications (frontend and/or backend).
• Design the technical architecture of key system components.
• Collaborate on technology decisions (languages, frameworks, databases).
• Integrate solutions with existing systems (ERP, PLC).
• Ensure quality through unit testing, code reviews, and functional validation.
• Document technical solutions and processes.
• Provide support and maintenance for deployed solutions.
• Mentor junior or mid-level developers when needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Good communication skills in English (technical communication and collaboration with global teams)
• Experience with C# and JavaScript
• Used frameworks like .NET Core, Vue. js
• Worked with databases like SQL Server or Oracle SQL.
• Can build and use REST APIs.
• Knows how to use Git.
