Position Summary

This is a hybrid position within Mexico City, Mexico.

Thales is looking for a Technical Engineer Student who will learn, understand and apply main Telecom standards in which all SIM card requirements are based, to later translate them into technical specifications using Thales tools. With the assistance of a Technical Consultant, the trainee may be responsible of coordinating the full life cycle of SIM projects requested by Thales teams following specific processes.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Have a comprehensive understanding of SIM card product requirements.
• Develop an independent level of knowledge and usage of Gemalto internal tools and processes.
• Deliver testing SIM cards within committed schedule and quality.

Minimum Requirements

• Required to be a Student in the last 3 semesters (maximum 1.5 years to 1 year from graduation) of Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Math or related fields.
• Experience in programming with Java C++ would be ideal
• Knowledge of HTML, XML, GSM and/or UMTS networks is desired.
• Intermediate English proficiency
• Good verbal and writing communication skills.
• Customer and business oriented.
• Organized, autonomous and able to work well under pressure.
• Passionate about teamwork.
• Creative, analytical thinker, problem-solver, positive attitude.
