How You Will Make an Impact
Lead the strategy for standardized developer tools, ensuring seamless integration and value delivery.
What Will You Do?
Product Ownership & Tool Lifecycle Management
Own the full lifecycle of AI-powered and engineering efficiency tools, including GitHub Copilot, BlueOptima, and similar platforms.
Manage onboarding, configuration, rollout, training, usage monitoring, and feedback loops for assigned tools.
Maintain product backlogs and roadmaps that align with business goals and developer needs.
Developer-Centric Integration & Governance
Integrate tools effectively within existing development environments, including GitHub, Jira, CI/CD, and IDEs.
Define tool adoption playbooks and standard operating procedures for onboarding/offboarding users.
Ensure compliance with internal governance, security policies, and licensing agreements.
User Insights & Continuous Improvement
Analyze usage data and engineering metrics to measure return on investment and identify optimization opportunities.
Build dashboards and reports to monitor tool performance, team efficiency, and developer experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate feedback into improvements and advocacy efforts.
Collaboration & Influence
Act as a bridge between engineering teams, IT, vendor partners, and tool providers.
Drive adoption campaigns, evangelize tools' value, and represent the "voice of the developer."
Collaborate with the DevEx team to establish critical metrics and frameworks for evaluating engineering efficiency.
How You Will Get Here
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Advanced certifications such as CSPO, PMP, or ITIL preferred.
Experience:
5+ years in product ownership, software tools management, or developer platform enablement.
Proven experience with tools like GitHub Copilot, BlueOptima, IDE extensions, and cloud-native toolchains.
Strong understanding of software development practices, AI-powered tooling, and DevOps pipelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Competence to collaborate directly with developers and tool providers on integration and customization.
Strong data analysis skills (e.g., SQL, dashboards, reporting tools) to track tool impact and efficiency.
Excellent communication and collaborator management abilities.
Passion for improving developer experience, removing friction, and building growing engineering cultures.
