POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Develop of strategic investment studies and implementation of code 1 and other assigned projects, regarding of building vehicles projects and powertrain components at General Assembly lines. Based on Risk Assessments methodology and focused to reduce waste & losses and vertical launches. Including Machinery & Equipment design, manufacturing, install and start up according with the GDV schedule. Providing pilots and launching support at Mexico Assembly Plants and others.
FUNCTIONS:
STRATEGIC: 55 %.
Develop strategic investment studies based on GVD program timings for code 1 and others assigned projects focused on reducing waste and losses based on Plant CD and business case analysis.
Planning of all projects code 1 and others assigned to ME in accordance with the requirements of the corporation considering volumes, capabilities, budgets, lay outs and applications new equipment and tooling based on green or brown field of manufacturing plants.
Create Critical Route Timings with attainment to the GVD for code 1 and others assigned projects in detailed for all GA Line.
Plan, Create and Maintain the BLUE ROOM for projects approved with weekly revisions to track the KPI's, Risk Assessment Mitigations.
Create Specification Package considering Process and Product Standards, GD&T, government regulations, cycle time of the process, establishing all the KPI's and deliverables based on Stellantis standards.
Plan and coordinate interaction with the productive area for the introduction of new machinery and equipment in new or existing facilities for the manufacture of vehicles designated to Mexico Plants.
Development and approval of layouts, program issuance and control plans.
Supplier technical evaluation for purchase sourcing procedure to select the supplier desire based on the technical proposals for Tooling and Machinery Manufacturing.
Creation, issuance and follow-up of Indirect Source Package and Purchase Requisitions to procure new machinery, tooling or facilities as product and process requires.
Consider and assure the compliance of the Government Policies and regulations as part of the tooling/Facilities.
Project management since the program approval phase until successful launch identifying the resources needed in each step for success vehicle vertical Launch.
Feasibility studies Development to identify and fix the issue since the product design phase avoiding impact to the production line based on DFA, Value Engineering, PFMEA's and Digital Scroll Review.
Maintain actual ISO certifications. Contributing and managing projects based on Quality and environmental policies.
EPM Early product management - design for assembly / make match with process design (tooling & machinery concept design )
Innovation development on current facilities, process or new machinery, equipment or tools that improve the corporate indicators.
Tooling design engineering, revision and approval in agreement with the plant team, CoC, product engineering and suppliers.
Implement Kaizen methodology from a proactive approach on early project phases.
Costumes paper work management when shipping tool/machinery from cross board countries supplier until plant arrival.
OPERATIONAL: 30%
Tooling buy off, installation, validation and start up on site floor on production plants. Coordinate the tooling/equipment installation tryouts, certification tests and assurance of the right operation of the equipment.
Coordinate the multifunctional team to perform tryouts at supplier and plant facilities.
Support plant team in the analysis and solution for quality, feasibility ergonomics and safety issues
Train plant staff in the use of new technologies at Supplier of Plant facilities.
Resolve all discrepancies and reports of process unconformity, attributable to equipment, tools and process sheets, delivered for pilots.
Timing compliance based on the Global Vehicle Development requirements.
Supply the appropriate tooling, devices and equipment to perform the assembly or test of all the components for the new models or versions at General assembly.
Participate and proposed feasible assembly process solutions on Digital scroll at different locations as Headquarters, plants, etc.
Load and upload tool/machinery/facility 3D models and graphics from/into Team Center database.
Get knowledge of TCF areas for succession plans: engine dress, trim, chassis, Engine decking, Final Line and EOL processes. Like : Engine and transmission VIN marking, transmission flashing, Urethane Glass Cell, Badges installation, IP Setting Front and Rear Install, Suspension install, pull out test, Prop-shaft install, front and Rear suspension , FEM setting , Fluids Evac & Fill process, End Off Lines test, torque tools, Multi spindle torque tools, torque reaction arms, powertrain indexing process, engine oil prime. Etc.
Define and Develop Broadcast formulas to perform the Rolls Test engine decking, fluid fills Indexing and Vin marking , W/A and ADAS Process
Coordination of receive shipping tool/machinery from cross board countries supplier until plant arrival.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: 15%
Assign proper people to perform buy off, validation and process verification of tooling, equipment and process.
Control, spend and tracking Funds assignment for code1 and others assigned new projects at ME MP Portal.
Create and lead a cross functional team for tooling development and validation at suppliers and plant sites.
Track and spend the funds assignment from kaizen's based on the Plant Cost Deployment with B/C approved by Controller.
Schedule supplier support for training and pilot phases at plant, based on plant training requirements
Lead and Tracking Suppliers activities during project phases (Estimation, Design, Tryouts, Installation, Pilots and Launch).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience for all GA positions :
5 Years of experience as manufacturing engineer in the automotive industry handling all projects phases for Machinery & Equipment: Design concept, Design reviews, Manufacturing Phase, Buy Off , Dimensional certification, Shipping, Installation and Validation and run Pilots and get Launching Phase Supervision.
3 Years of minimal experience on 3D/2D CAD management.
5 Years of minimal experience on Investment studies related to long and medium projects.
5 years of minimum experience in Trim assembly process as : Urethane Glass cell, IP Setting Install, Badges Install , Door Off / Door On , and Sun Roof Install or similar preferably in the automotive industry.
4 Years of demonstrable experience in Assist arms, Subassembly Benches, Torque Tools and controllers, Safety Joints and Tighten Torque Theory.
Technical Knowledge:
Pneumatic and electrical advanced knowledge reading electric diagrams and know the norms and standards.
Advance of Design & Manufacturing global and internal standards.
Experience of Re Design and re tooling new and current tooling and equipment based on Product changes
PLC 5000 or equivalent intermediate skills to reading ladder diagrams focused to solve PLC issues.
GD & T theory and practical application in projects implemented Level 4
Team Center, ACAD, and Design in NX 8.5 Level 4, in models and lay out loading, uploading and prepare environment to create studies.
Experience in using NAAMS for Tooling and equipment design.
Simulate and perform feasibility studies focus on manufacturing with software of JACK, VISMOCKUP and PROCESS SIMULATE.
Use the SIMPLYFY software for 3D printer for TTO's parts for process and tooling validation.
Controls Net Validation for all assembly process equipment.

Support other plants and projects in our similar Stellantis plants in Saltillo ( STAP and SVAP) or others assigned.
