Salary Range: CAD $90K-$115K/Month

Job Description:

• We are on the lookout for a talented Front End Engineer to play a pivotal role in steering the evolution of our systems
• As a Front End Developer you will collaborate closely with our engineering team to construct and maintain our internal Content Management System CMS a critical component managing live events for Paramount
• This role places you at the forefront of delivering high performance solutions to cater to the demands of our rapidly expanding platform

Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining scalable and robust frontend applications using React TypeScript and other modern JavaScript technologies
• Work with designers product owners and stakeholders to define and validate visual requirements user workflow and UI prototypes
• Work with UI engineers to maintain evolve and modernize our existing platforms
• Developing reusable efficient and accessible UI components according to design specifications
• Working with GraphQL REST APIs and Websocket for integration with backend services
• Provide Technical Leadership and Ensure Quality Lead the design architecture and development of software systems enforce coding standards and best practices conduct code reviews and implement robust testing strategies to maintain highquality code
• Manage Projects and Team Development Plan manage and oversee engineering projects set timelines allocate resources mentor and guide team members and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment to ensure project success and team growth
• Collaborate and Contribute to Strategic Planning Work closely with product management and other departments to align on requirements ensure seamless integration contribute to the technical vision and strategic planning and advocate for continuous improvement in processes and technologies

Qualifications:

• JavaScript ES6, TypeScript Strong understanding of fundamental JavaScript concepts extensive knowledge of ES6 as well as familiarity with TypeScript and understanding of its benefits and use cases
• Familiar with CSS preprocessors like SASS, LESS and Frameworks such as Bootstrap or MaterialUI
• Understanding of modern frontend build pipelines and tools
• Familiar with GraphQL, NodeJS, RESTful API and understanding of modern frontend build pipelines and tools
• Experience with Nextjs or other server side rendering frameworks
• Performance Optimization Ability to optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web capable devices and browsers
• Accessibility and Testing Awareness about accessible frontend design and user testing Knowledge of testing libraries like Jest Enzyme or React Testing Library
• Communication Skills Ability to work in a team understand specifications and communicate problems clearly
• Experienced with technical writing and design documentation
• Experienced with container technology and management such as Docker and Kubernetes
