Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague to join our team as Superintendent.

The Superintendent is responsible for providing operational leadership for the facility to ensure business execution, including delivering the necessary technical and supervisory expertise for the efficient and profitable operation of the elevator. This individual must work and communicate effectively with both Commercial and Operations Managers to ensure the facility remains in a constant state of readiness to meet schedules and seize emerging opportunities. This includes inventory control, operational cost management and logistics, grain blending and conditioning, space allocation, preventive maintenance, talent management including production planning, energy efficiency, and asset security.

Position located in Encarnacion de Díaz, Jalisco.

Essential Job Functions:

• Inventory & Operations Management: Monitor silo and warehouse inventory, grain movement, and capacity for efficiency. Ensure cost control and assist in facility improvement development and execution.
• Grain Quality & Preservation: Oversee blending, conditioning, and grain preservation, including aeration, fumigation, and temperature monitoring to minimize loss.
• Safety & Compliance: Lead safety-critical processes (lockout/tagout, confined space entry, emergency response), and ensure facility operations comply with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Maintenance & Training: Schedule preventive maintenance, lead training for operational personnel, and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Sustainability & Security: Implement energy efficiency programs and improve sustainability while reducing costs. Ensure asset security and prevent theft or damage.
• Leadership & Communication: Lead on-site workers, including contractors, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory programs. Communicate facility performance effectively with regional management.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in grain elevators or terminals.
• Advanced English proficiently.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Experience in coordinating safety programs.
• Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, or Safety.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance aptitude, with the ability to operate, service, and troubleshoot machinery.

Special Demands:

• Willingness to work overtime and irregular hours, including weekends and nights. Work schedule: Monday to Saturday.
