We are looking for Desktop Application Support

Experience: 5+ years

WFO : Hybrid/WFH

Shift : 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM – Mexico Time

Skillset : Desktop Application support

Technical Skills

1. Systems Design: Proficiency in designing and integrating systems to meet specific requirements.
2. Programming and Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
3. Understanding of Application Architecture: Familiarity with client-server architecture, web applications, and microservices.
4. Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
5. Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, including command-line tools for troubleshooting.
6. Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) for querying and troubleshooting data issues.
7. FTP Knowledge: Proficient in using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) for transferring files between client and server, including familiarity with FTP clients (e.g., FileZilla, WinSCP) and command-line FTP commands. Understanding of secure file transfer methods (e.g., SFTP, FTPS) for ensuring data integrity and security.
8. Licensing Knowledge: Familiarity with software licensing models and compliance requirements.
9. License Server Management: Experience in configuring and managing license servers for software distribution and tracking.
10. Application Upgrade: Proficient in planning and executing application upgrades, including testing, deployment, and rollback strategies to ensure seamless transitions.
11. Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Skills in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
12. Configuration Management: Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for automating system configurations.

Must Have:

• Serverside Troubleshooting: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and the ability to diagnose network-related issues.
• Desktop Troubleshooting: Knowledge of server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux distributions.
• Bash/ Powershell Scripting
• FTP between client and server including command-line FTP commands
• Active Directory

• Oracle (TOAD)
