• Must have (5-10) years of experience supporting Oracle in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in providing DBA support for medium/large number of databases in Oracle or experience in PostgreSQL.

Depth Oracle Database Administration experience in:

• Oracle 11g/12c/19c
• Oracle Partitions
• Oracle Performance Tuning and troubleshooting
• Oracle Grid Control 13 and RDBMS binaries install.
• OEM Cloud Control 19c (
• ASM
• RMAN

Additional experience/knowledge:

• Experience with database tuning and best practices/proactive.
• Experience with App and DBA monitoring best practices/proactive monitoring.
• Data Security best practices experience.
• Database migration techniques experience (technical side).
• Basic Shell Scripting knowledge.
• Oracle RAC experience is a plus
• PostgreSQL is a plus.

Typical technical tasks required of the position:

• Perform preventive maintenance and performance tuning of multiple enterprise databases.
• Monitor, trouble-shoot, maintain, and perform backup/recovery processes on Oracle databases.
• Administer databases/applications on Oracle 11g-19c.
• Create necessary documentation for database procedures.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
• Able to drive best practices across multiple teams in connecting to and querying the database(s) to improve stability of services.
• Good understanding of Oracle Database Administration procedures.
• Good understanding of Oracle monitoring and tuning procedures.
• Good understanding of SQL, PL/SQL.
• Able to create and understand Microsoft and UNIX shell scripts for database administrative purposes.
• Able to understand and use Oracle RMAN backup procedures.
• Install and setup of new databases in support of new or current projects.
• Define access permissions, privileges, and standards according to security policies.
• Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans.
• Ensure that storage, archiving, backup and recovery, and Disaster Recovery procedures are documented, and processes are functioning correctly.
