As a Data Engineer 2 you will take full ownership of delivering high-performing, high-impact data engineering projects to extract maximum value out of the company's data. This includes the development of industrial-scale data pipelines and data structures within the cloud. It also includes the proactive application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) theory and tools to these data structures.

Deliver Data Engineering Solutions in the Cloud
• Deliver turn-key data mining and data value extraction tools based on sound AI/ML theory.
• Build data engineering framework to support Data Migration to AWS Cloud technologies and deliver new projects as per new target architecture within AWS data cloud service.
• Develop Data platform solutions using Amazon S3, Athena, Data Migration Services (DMS), AWS Glue, Lambda, Spark, and Python to load data across multiple sources into AWS.
• Design, Implement and Deliver working AL/ML (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) techniques to build models that support decision making and extract value from Datasets.
• Building and optimizing data pipelines to facilitate the extraction of data from multiple sources and load it into data warehouses.
• Using automation to streamline data processing and reduce development time.
• Managing the production of data pipelines.
• Code, test, and document new or modified data models and ETL/ELT tools to create robust and scalable data assets for reporting and analytics.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Migration of solutions from legacy on-prem systems to the cloud.
• Improving data flow and quality to ensure a single source of truth is delivered to the business.

Perfil solicitado
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or Information Technology or Information Science or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in the field of Data Engineering or Analysis or Operations or Data warehousing if Bachelors is obtained or 8+ years with relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Data Operations/Analysis, Data Warehousing & Data Analytics tools.
• 4+ years of experience in SQL optimization, performance tuning and development experience in programming languages like SQL, PowerShell, Python, and PySpark.
• At least 1 year experience in implementing AI/ML techniques (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) on existing Data Sets.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Database/ Data Engineering such as Database Infrastructure, Data Warehousing, or Data Analytics tools.
• At least two AWS Certifications Associate/Specialty level Certification.
• Advanced knowledge of writing complex SQL & Automation Scripts using PowerShell & Python.
• Experience with Business Intelligence Tools, Reporting and ETL technologies such as SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, AWS Glue, EMR, Athena and QuickSight.
• Experience with Relational Databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and AWS Cloud database services: RDS, Aurora, Dynamo DB and Redshift.
• Basic Knowledge in Homogenous & Heterogeneous Migration of Database environment to AWS using AWS key service like DMS, SCT,RDS, Aurora.
• Working knowledge of Key AWS Services like EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Aurora, DMS and SCT.
• Strong understanding of database technologies and management systems.
• Advanced Knowledge with writing Complex SQL & Scripting with Python, PowerShell.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills & Working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps and DataOps concepts.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in Data Engineering, AI/ML
• Mentor, Review Junior Data Analysts/ Engineers to ensure DataOps Best Practices are followed.
• Strong Competency with Writing Complex SQL, Python & PowerShell Scripts.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS Cloud Computing Services & Automating Manual Tasks.
• Demonstrated experience working with in AWS cloud-based environment.
• Understands both the engineering and business side of the Data Products released.
• Experience working with Open-Source Database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Any AWS Associate and Specialty Certification is a Plus.
• Experience with Statistical/ML techniques is a plus.
• Experience with Manufacturing/Aerospace or Airline Industry.

Computer/IT Skills:
• Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), VISIO.
