Eaton's VEH NAT North America Truck division is currently seeking a Jr. Quality Engineer.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A. Monitors and improves a quality system in the manufacturing process. Supports other process engineers and supervisors on the tools and techniques of quality improvement. These will include problem solving techniques, Six Sigma, IATF 16949/ISO 9001, and process improvement techniques like Kaizen principles
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A. Develop process control plans & review data collection methods & applicability of data to operator control; assist in the development & implementation of Dimensional Control Plan (DCP)
B. Assist with the implementation of quality systems (EBS, IATF 16949)
C. Assist in the development of PFMEA's and PPAP's
D. Participate in & lead structured team problem solving & apply statistical & other problem solving tools
E. Direct & conduct process potential studies & sample layout of new or revised processes
F. Assist in the preparation of customer required reporting
G. Actively participate in manufacturing & process improvement teams
H. Assist in the development & presentation of cost of quality measurements
I. Assist in identifying & coordinating quality related training programs
J. Perform additional functions as required
K. Leads SPC through the plant
L. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
M. Promotes the company's mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.
N. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Qualifications:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE.
A. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Quality, Statistics, preferred)
B. 2-3 years' experience applying quality tools in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
C. Certificate Quality Engineer (CQE) would be a plus
D. Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt would be a plus
E. Strong statistics and problem-solving technics
F. Strong communication skills
G. Thorough knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including gauge repeatability & reproducibility studies
H. Knowledge of metrology, including CMM application & programming preferred
I. Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T) principles
J. Strong knowledge of AIAG, IATF 16949 standards and EQMS
K. Proficiency in problem solving & quality techniques including: o SPC o PFMEA o PPAP o 8-D problem solving o APQP o MSA o Capability Analysis o Problem Solving
L. Ability to communicate in the English language (80%)
