The Buyer/Planner is responsible the planning and procurement of items/commodities for production of valves and controllers in accordance with company policies. This position is also responsible for the management of customer orders and backlog.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• A relevant BS or BA degree, APICS certification, or 5 years of experience in Planning and/or Purchasing in a manufacturing environment, or a combination of education and work experience.

• Strong interpersonal and planning skills.

• Effective oral and written communication abilities.

• Knowledge of MRP, JIT, and Kanban.

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.

• Advanced English level.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Applying Planner Workbench to release new orders and reschedule orders with suppliers.

• Handling backlog optimally.

• Supervising product phase-in/phase-out processes.

• Handling product purchase orders.

• Implementing material strategies with suppliers.

• Setting standard costs for purchased parts.

• Leading and implementing procurement projects.

• Coordinating returns of goods to suppliers.

• Addressing supplier performance and resolving related issues.

• Setting and achieving annual cost reduction and containment goals.

• Performing other duties as assigned.
