The Database Administrator III is responsible for data analysis and database management. Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Database Administrators are also responsible for understanding, configuring, and managing database administration tools.

Job Qualifications

1. This is Level 3 Microsoft SQL Server database administration production support role.
2. Candidate should have extensive experience on one / two versions of SQL Server (2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019) with respect to database administration role.
3. Complete working experience in Database administration activity like SQL Server Installation, Patches, Upgrades, Migration, backup, recovery, refresh of non-production environments, security etc.
4. Well versed with SQL Server Clustering, Always-On and Transaction Replication.
5. You will be part of weekend On-Call rotation support.

Note: Level 3 means that this team is subject matter expert on Microsoft SQL Server administration. If we couldn't solve any issue/problem, then it is escalated to Microsoft (Product Company) Level 3 Support engineers only.

Skills Required:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail, and excels operating in a fast-paced technical environment
• Ability to solve problems, identify solutions, and appropriately escalate issues
• Expertise in relational databases (e.g., Oracle)
• Proficiency in database architecture, logical and physical design, documentation, installs, shell scripting, programming (e.g., PL/SQL), query tuning, system tuning, automation, backup and recovery, standby

Certificates / Training:

• Preferred: Database Certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional)

Experience Level III:

• 5+ years experience in databases

Education Required:

• Bachelor's in Information Technology or equivalent
