As a Sr Materials Planner, you will accomplish activities related to local and international planning to ensure the availability of materials at the manufacturing site to guarantee compliance with production schedules.
You will report to Planning Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the and proper supply of raw materials to guarantee the level of service required by internal customers.
- Improve the inventory of approximately 600 SKUs (300 Make to Stock), minimizing obsolescence and overstock.
- Coordinate with global suppliers to meet delivery times and logistical conditions.
- Mitigate supply risks through advanced planning strategies (DDMRP). Periodically maintaining planning parameters in ERP systems.
- Coordinate the health of measurements, applying Lean Manufacturing principles focused on Supply Planning.
- Ensure the Service Level, Maintaining a 95% Level of Safety Stock.
- Ensure availability of materials at point of use to avoid impacts to production schedules and customer orders.
- Analyze possible risk situations in the supply chain of your materials.
- Coordinate logistics processes with customs, suppliers, intercompany.
- Follow up of documentation related to the importation of materials.
- Execution and follow up of the logistic process of materials from origin to final destination either in plant or with customers.
- Coordinate import operations with customs agents at different borders.
- Create and distribute supply plans and estimates with suppliers and internal customers according to the established process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain related positions.
- Knowledge of certifications related to inventory and supply chain management.
- Database Management.
- Advanced Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
- Knowledge of international trade processes.
- Fluent English.
- Mastery of planning tools (ERP and DDMRP). Understanding of Planning Parameters Concepts.
